Our Workshop is an engaging, interactive, experience designed to give a rare opportunity to connect with authentic cultural knowledge, items, stories, and traditional ways of life through hands-on learning.
What Participants Will Experience
-
Traditional Yarning Circle Learning
Workshops are delivered in a traditional yarning circle format, creating a respectful and inclusive space where participants can listen, learn, ask questions while engaging in meaningful cultural discussion. -
Cultural Artefacts
Students will have the opportunity to safely handle and explore a diverse collection of authentic Aboriginal cultural artefacts and traditional items. Many of these items have been handcrafted by Elders, created on Country, or carry significant cultural stories and connections. Some items would rarely be available for public viewing or handling outside of community and cultural settings. -
Storytelling & Knowledge Sharing
Learn the meaning, purpose, and history behind these artefacts through guided cultural discussion and storytelling delivered in an engaging and respectful way. -
Connection to Traditional Ways of Life
Participants gain insight into how different cultural tools, objects, and resources were used in everyday life, ceremony, survival, education, and connection to Country. -
Interactive Educational Experience
This is not a sit-and-watch session — students are encouraged to ask questions, participate, observe closely, and engage directly with the learning materials. -
Supports Cultural Awareness & Respect
The workshop encourages understanding, respect, and appreciation for Aboriginal culture, traditions, knowledge systems, and lived experiences.
